ProPay and Global Payments teams have been investigating reports of erroneous merchant descriptors for American Express transactions. We have identified the source of the issue and have implemented a change which should address the problem going forward. Transactions identified were primarily impacted between 3/6/2024 to 3/21/2024 17:30MT.
We apologize for the related disruptions. Our teams will continue to review the situation to identify additional opportunities to improve the merchant and cardholder experience and prevent a recurrence of this type of issue.
